Another great resource for science are these books. This week I specifically used the Before, During, and After strategy which really works well to help with modeling in science. Students first did individual illustrations of the concept then I had them chose their best representation from the each group to add to the board. Once we had a couple drawings for each section they did a gallery walk with their groups and added comments to each drawing . There purpose here was to give helpful comments to make each drawing better. I finished the lesson by modeling how I would have drawn my own BDA for this topic and we discussed how though our illustrations may be different there are key components that all good answers need to have.
