The skull is the main symbol of &#8216;the day of the dead.&#8217; They used to have skeletons as statues and they would display them during the celebrations. The families go and decorate the graves with flowers and light candles to remember their loved ones. They eat food such as pan de muertos (bread). </p>

November 1st is Dia De Los Incentes, when children are believed to return for 24 hours. Adult spirits are believed to make an appearance on November 2nd when their lives are honored. The celebration is not a sad tradition, it is remembering the good memories they had with their loved ones. </p>
