Freezer Jam? I have lived here for over 49+ years and this is the first time I have ever heard of this. Well our Agriculture teacher, Mrs. Back and her students are at it again. This time taking more strawberries and making another sweet treat. So what is freezer jam, it’s similar to water processing jam but you store the jars in the freezer. I don’t have the recipe they used right now but will try to get one for you. But I will say its the easiest and best tasting way I have ever seen to make Jam. I believe within 30 minutes you are done. And it’s delicious on toast, ice cream or on wheat pancakes (Which Martha Yount (UK Robinson Forest Office & Sandra Gabbard, JCS Assistant to Superintendent taught our students to make, which I will share in another post)! The jars are keep in the freezer until ready to take them out and use. Once open they will last about one month in the refrigerator, If it lasts that long! They stated that they did make it a little healthier by not having to use as much sugar as the recipe called for.
