Johnson Central High School Story #2
A small group of JC students were part of a project based internship through a Youth Career Connect grant that allowed them to create a project showcasing how Johnson Central High School prepares students for careers. This presentation was 100% researched and created by the students, earning them a stipend from YCC. They compiled interviews of former Eagles who successfully transitioned into the workforce, dual credit offerings at JC, student organizations that are available, career majors to choose from, etc.
The students presented to the YCC board as well as our school board, and representatives at the State Capitol. They plan on using their project to attract community partners to JC.
