Imagination library brings the love of reading to our little ones 💕

The Empty Chair Project from Pikeville High School is very excited to share our plans, our successes and our accomplishments with you at the Fire Summit! We will be presenting around 9:45 in Ballroom C. See you there!

My son enjoys his books he receives in Imagination Library. It is a great program.

Children have been using their new tablets to code and make stories on PBS scratch Jr. They have learned about plot,setting and characters. We are still looking for an awesome coding app that is age appropriate that focuses on letter identification and phonics.

I am very proud to announce that the Healthalacia Hackathon team from Pikeville High School entered their ideas and proposals in the National Solve for Tomorrow Samsung Contest, and we are very pleased to announce that we are a state finalist for KY! South Floyd Middle School did a wonderful job on helping us learn more about weather using the Spanish language. They spoke very clearly when they were speaking and the pictures they used were extremely helpful in understanding what they were saying, especially for younger kids. The way they taught about the weather was very well done.
