Hi. I am in Spanish 2 part A. I`ve been asked to talk about dad of the dead. Day of the dead is Latin American holiday that trace its roots with the first native Americans that encountered the Spanish. The holiday has been mixed with both Christian believes and pagan/native belief. It has been around for centuries and will likely continue to do so.
Day of the dead when you honor the dead. It honors the deceased children and adults. Each have their own days for being honored. Parades, parties, feasts, and shrines are held to honor the dead. The holiday believes that by remembering the dead, it ties them to earth so they can still see their love ones. Some take it literal, others use it as a excuse to party. Either way the holiday is a part of Latin culture.
