Inquiry is the process of learning about the world around us. Because of our curiosity we begin to question to try and make sense of what we observe by using our senses. Then, we try and gather information about our questions by field observations, researching what others have discovered, and trying to do our own tests to make meaning of what we believe is going on around us. We continue repeating this to see if our results can be duplicated. Sometimes it seems we have failed in trying to make meaning of our discoveries. Yet our “failures” allow us look for other ways to make meaning. We then want to share our discoveries and see they makes sense to others. It is a never ending process. New discoveries bring more questions and we start the process over.
