The videos and articles reinforced my thoughts of inquiry as the process we go through to make meaning of the phenomena we encounter in the world around us. Learning is so much more meaningful as we engage ourselves by asking questions, investigating solutions, creating new knowledge as we gather information, discussing our discoveries and experiences, and reflecting on our new knowledge. Realizing that learning the answer is not the means, but learning is a process as we seek understanding…along the way we may find out the answer, find out many ways that are not the answer (but finding new answers we weren’t even looking for, increasing our knowledge), or maybe realizing the answer is not yet ready to be found as it is yet to be discovered. By not doing inquiry we can make learning dull and boring and learning little, yet if we do inquiry, we open up the door to discovery, and true learning as we make meaning and thirst for more!
