Learning stations with flexible seating is one of my favorite teaching strategies. The students enjoy working with others on their level and collaborating on their learning targets. A positive, safe, kid, friendly learning environment makes the days pleasant. I love meeting with small groups of students to engage with them in conversations, have them reflect on their writing, and use higher level questioning techniques to get them thinking and discussing deeper. Some of students using technology are working on their google classroom assignments during this intervention time, while others are engaging in literature circles, and Kagan style discussions.
