The district has officially launched a Professional Development Cadre for Aspiring Leaders, a new initiative designed to help educators who are ready to take the next step into leadership roles. This exciting opportunity gives teachers hands-on experiences and real-world insights into what it takes to lead successful schools.
Throughout the year, participants will engage in monthly sessions that cover a wide range of essential leadership topics, including school finance, compliance, assessments and data, MTSS, personnel management, professional learning communities, and curriculum and assessment design. Each session is designed to give educators a deeper understanding of how all parts of a school system work together to support students.
By investing in professional growth from within, Knott County is ensuring that tomorrow’s principals, supervisors, and district leaders are equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and community connections they need to succeed. This program highlights the district’s ongoing commitment to building leadership capacity and strengthening opportunities for students across eastern Kentucky.
