Bio
When I’m not working you can probably find me at a football field. My son, Jackson, is an upcoming sophomore and has been playing football since preschool. I’m proud of many things in this life, but none more than him.
My name is Kayla Deaton. I have been working in education for almost 9 years now. My first year I taught middle school Math at Chavies Elementary. Since then I have been at Perry County Central High School teacher Integrated Science, Biology, and ICP for the special education population, or as we like to call them, strategic learners.
I also have my certification in School Guidance Counseling, am currently the school Co-Building Assessment Coordinator, and serve as the Special Education PLC Lead.
