This year my students participated in the entrepreneurship challenge. They were separated into teams and came up with their own businesses. One of my groups called the loom room got to compete at Hazard. They learned how to make their product, calculate the cost of their supplies, and calculate their profit. They had so much fun with this project. They used their money to fund a field trip to Evans Orchard in Georgetown. In April they showcased their project in Pikeville. Overall this was a great experience. Next year I would like to incorporate technology more by allowing students to use Google Chrome apps such as classroom and drive.
