Good evening! My name is Angelica Huff and I am a peer mentor with Mrs.Wrights Life Management class. Mrs.Wright, her students, and I traveled to Carl D. Perkins on Thursday, September 27. I had the opportunity to tour the school and see the opportunities that these students could have after graduating high school. We toured their cosmetology school, dorm rooms, daycare facility, and even their in-house cafe. This was a wonderful experience and opportunity to see what these students' lives after high school may look like.
Hi, my names Indigo Schnopp! I am a peer mentor with Mrs. Wrights Life Management class. Last Thursday, September, 27th, we took a field trip to Carl D. Perkins. I had the wonderful opportunity to tour the establishment, as well as learn what opportunities the kids have there. There were so many different things to do there like, cosmetology, driving, barista work, a daycare, ect. This was overall a great experience for both the mentors as well a the kids.
Hello, my name is Meggie Bailey! I am a peer mentor in Ms. Wrights Life Management classroom. On Thursday, September 27th, we took a field trip to Carl D. Perkins. This was such a great opportunity to get to share with these students in the classroom. They seemed to love to tour Carl D. Perkins and the students want to be able to attend there whenever they graduate high school. They showed us things like the dorms, outside, and a daycare area. This was a great experience for the students to see and opened their minds up to the possibilities and also showed us that we can work at places like Carl D. Perkins that so that we can teach others.
Hello, my name is Corby Hall! I am a peer mentor with Mrs. Wrights Life Management class. On Thursday, September 27th, we took a trip to Carl D. Perkins. The trip was an amazing opportunity to be able to share with the students in the classroom. They kids loved visiting Carl D. Perkins and it as an eye-opening experience to see what these kids could do after they leave school. This was an amazing day and I can not wait to go on other trips with the kids.
Hi, my name is Kinsey Thacker! I am a student in Mrs. Wright's Life management class. Last Thursday, the 27th, all of the students and peer mentors got to go tour Carl D. Perkins. I had a great time and I loved watching the students figure out their possible future career and college goals. I hope some of the students go through with their plans to attend Carl D. Perkins.
