February's transition was a drone and plane flight simulator. The students enjoyed this workshop a lot. The students had fun learning how to work the controller and were challenging themselves with landing the plane without wrecking it. One student asked if Dr. Kayatin would bring it back and then asked about the college requirements to be a pilot. While the students were enjoying the simulator. Jessica, the state education officer from Carl D Perkins, was there to talk with students and answer questions about the center. One student is very interested in Carl D Perkins and completing the nursing program there. The students also were able to do a job simulation game on the Oculus- VR headset. Jessica was provided a hot list of interested students and gave them and us flyers that talked about all the benefits the center offered. Overall, it was a very successful workshop, and the students that participated enjoyed it. The job simulator was a big hit, and the students said it was very life-like.
