On September 30, 2022 our students attended a Transition Conference in Prestonsburg at Big Sandy Community and Technical College.  Our students were able to attend different sessions that will be beneficial to them once they begin their transition from high school to a technical college like Big Sandy.  Some of the different sessions that they had to offer were: Industrial Maintenance, Nursing and Electrical services.  Based on the conversations I have had with my students that attended the field trip, they all highly enjoyed the experience of getting to see and learn about the different sessions.  The majority of our students are very interested in learning a trade like the ones that were offered that day at Big Sandy and I believe it was beneficial for them to broaden their knowledge in those areas.  These sessions have presented new ideas and opened different pathways for our students that didn't know what they wanted to do past high school, but now have a better idea of what they want to do in the future.
