Thank You, Superintendent Phillip Watts

Phillip Watts, Superintendent of the Breathitt County School District received an award from the Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative for his leadership during the 2021-2022 school year for serving as the KVEC Chairman of the Board for our 24-member school districts.

Over this past year, Superintendent Watts was the Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative Chairman of the Board of Directors. He has worked tirelessly to make sure not only students in his district but, all students in the KVEC Region excelled to their highest level.

Superintendent Watts excelled in leading the Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative as Board Chairman, during a period of tremendous growth within the 2021-22 school year. His leadership skills, humility, character, and integrity are renowned throughout the region and state.

Watt’s time as KVEC’s Chairman of the Board will be remembered as a time of growth and prosperity for KVEC. The future of education in Eastern Kentucky is brighter for having Phillip Watts and we are excited to see how he continues to shape his district.

The staff of KVEC cannot thank Mr. Watts enough for his service to our educational cooperative.
