This interactive grades 9-12 teacher’s workshop will examine high-impact instructional strategies that focus on improving students’ knowledge and understanding of science and social studies, utilizing content texts to address the KAS standards for History/Social Studies/Science and Technical subjects.
The day’s work will focus on:
- High-Impact/Rigorous instructional strategies that address inquiry-based learning, designing investigations and constructing explanations/arguments in the 9-12 classroom
- Gaining a deeper understanding of the Key Instructional Shifts and essential reading and writing skills required to meet the KY Academic Standards in History/Social Studies, Science and Technical Subjects and Literacy
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- District/School is responsible for all travel/stipend expenses
- PD Credit is available
- Morning beverages and Lunch will be provided
