As the Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative wrapped another busy, bright year, we saved one standing ovation for last: a big thank-you to our Board Chairman, Chris Meadows, who also serves as Magoffin County Superintendent. With a steady hand and a neighborly spirit, Chris kept the focus on students and teachers across all 28 KVEC districts; cheering on big ideas, clearing little roadblocks, and reminding us that progress feels a lot like community.
Chris’s year in the chair was all about connection: districts learning from districts, classrooms learning from classrooms, and people showing up for one another. He championed collaboration at every turn, helped shine a light on educators’ everyday wins, and never missed a chance to celebrate our region’s can-do energy.
By the numbers (and by the smiles):
- 300+ trainings hosted with 1,500+ participants learning, sharing, and growing.
- Our Special Education team delivered 537+ sessions and 1,154 consultations, reaching 3,000+ participants.
- 3,200+ teachers used the Holler LMS, earning 3,200+ certificates along the way.
- …and many more milestones you’ll spot in our year-in-review video. (at the bottom of page)
From board meetings to school hallways, Chris made sure the spotlight landed on the right place, our students and the educators who lift them up every day. As he wraps up his term as KVEC’s Board Chairman, we’re grateful for the momentum he helped build and the kindness he modeled while doing it.

Here’s to you, Chairman Meadows. Thank you for a year of heart, hustle, and home-grown hope. We can’t wait to carry this energy forward.
