We are doing great things here at LCCHS! We have our materials order, plans drawn, and kids trained to employ their empathy skills at our buddy benches. We will have our benches set throughout our school in the next month with our Cougar Cares team ready to work their zones. The second part of our special ed grant has been initiated. We have purchased materials for the construction of a shelter and fence to start our new small animal project. Pictures to follow when weather will allow us to begin construction.
I have hit a snag in my project. The wireless Finch robots that were supposed to be shipped this February are not going to be ready to ship until June. I contacted the company and explained about the conditions of the grant, and they are sending me 7 prototypes to use until the new ones are shipped.
I received an iPad pro and Apple pencil. We are working to use the ipad to create social skill videos. I hope that students will be able to learn to create actual “movie” about social goals and skills they are working towards!
