Bruce recommended I share a little from a shoot we had recently. We do work for a local distiller here in Louisville. They recently sent us to Mexico to tell the story of their tequila line. We spent three days shooting from sunrise to sunset and the entire process from harvest to distillation. The amount of work that goes into the harvest of a single agave cactus alone gave me a newfound respect for the bottle on the shelf in the liquor store. Mexico is a fantastic country with wonderful people. This is a photo of the jimadors (pronounced he-ma-door) who harvest the blue agave cactus from sunrise until around lunchtime. Not a bad day’s work, but very labor intensive.
