Now our video has posted. Working together with Ms. Campbell has been a great experience. Students not only learned about farming, they used technology to “dig” deeper into plant life and nutrition. They also used ipads, researched plant nutrition, created QR codes to help identify the plants in our raised beds, and shared their knowledge of nutritional values of each plant. Collaborating with another teacher and allowing students to work cooperatively helped us successfully create an environment that students are proud of. Each student planted one plant in the raised beds and took plants home to grow in their own gardens. Many plants were donated to the community garden started by our mayor for the city. Students have said they are going to check on the raised beds this summer, and they are excited to see the produce that we hope to get in the fall!
