I greatly enjoyed reading through everyone’s ideas. After our meetings I am looking at our building with fresh eyes. I have discovered it is very sterile and uninspiring. After seeing the tremendous re-design in Ricky Thackers classroom and understanding that our parent and community involvement is poor for my Capstone I am looking into putting together a team of staff, teachers, students, parents and community members to begin with re-design of our media center. Our culture is family oriented and I would like the media center to be a focus to begin to think outside the box in what our students need and want in the space. Already discussed this with my seniors today and have several on- board. Goi g broader to parents and community next. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
