My students participated in a living wax museum that was open to the public. The museum was the culmination of a month long research project about various historical figures, inventors, athletes, etc. that have impacted our world in a significant way. Various ELA standards were incorporated into the project as students gathered information, wrote original poetry, wrote and recited speeches from the perspective of the person they selected, created display boards and name plates and painted background scenes related to their individual.
