My name is Lauren Riley, and I am the Junior Senate Representative for Owsley County! This year our plan revolves around job creation and enhancing community involvement through the arts. Working in cooperation with the BEC, or Booneville Entertainment Center, we plan to host a student vs. staff basketball game to raise money and boost morale to potentially purchase and restore the old theater in our town. We also plan to work with TeleWorks, a company that offers technical online job opportunities for anyone at least 16 years of age. We are going to present this opportunity to the juniors and seniors at Owsley County High School in hopes of increasing student responsibility and involvement in our community!
