The Math of Sewing
8th grade students at Arlie Boggs Elementary have been using geometry concepts to connect math with real-world applications. Students created their own quilt pieces, found equations of their lines in their designs, and sewed their own quilt pieces. They have had to use real-world problem solving as well, it has been a great learning experience to the students!
