My project at Breathitt High School has been to develop a sustainable recycling program that focused on student leadership and design. We had a pretty slow start because it took quite a while to establish contact with our local recycling infrastructure, but we’ve had several meetings of the recycling club and should be ready to roll out the student-developed system soon. In the mean-time we’ve already started several classroom-level recycling programs and have taken several loads over to the recycling plant here in Jackson.
