Daniel Day Begins as Superintendent of Leslie County Schools
I’m very proud of Leslie County. It’s humbling to lead the district that raised me. I grew up in these schools and later came back to teach here.
Superintendents or their designee can now enter site visits into CIITS. Here is the QRC that shows the screenshots for that process.http://education.ky.gov/teachers/PGES/geninfo/Documents/CIITS%20QRC_EDS_Conducting%20Site%20Visits.pdf
I am glad to hear that, Denise! I think the “Upload Artifact” function is useful for site visits, observations, and capturing evidence in general.
District 50/50 committees can begin making the edits to their CEPs based on this year’s experiences and adding language for OPGES which will be full implementation in 2015-2016. More info will come after KBE meeting about other district personnel.
While reviewing my CEP, I am trying to decide on a better timeline for having teachers’ student growth goals complete. My current plan says at the end of 8 weeks of instruction, others have suggested 30 days after K-Prep scores are published (or something similar). I can see that working for Principals, but I would like some suggestions for teachers?
