Is a school’s attendance going to impact this year’s test scores? I remember hearing that average attendance would be taken into consideration when calculating performance.

ACT Teams, join us for a Network work day on Monday. Share your theory of of action, get feedback, facilitative coaching from KVEC, etc. See you at 10:00….if you haven’t registered and want to attend, send me an email so I can be sure we have enough resources!

I have a question about growth and the future growth projection. How is that determined/ calculated? I also thought I heard someone say that it is not a prediction…how is it not a prediction?

The new growth calculation omits the projection component and looks only at growth from one year to the next using NAPD categories. Points will be awarded as displayed in the attached table. This means there is no black box calculation as before which awarded points based on a student’s expected performance.

Another question. When looking at the EOC requirements on the KDE page, it says that it is live for those on the early graduation pathway. What will we be doing for our current English II classes? Is there an EOC for this year?

Attendance was part of Opportunity and Access, which has been renamed as Quality of School Climate and Safety. Quality of School Climate and Safety is planned for 2019-2020, but we are unaware of what measures it will include. Attendance may be one of them, but the measures have not been determined at this time.
