• Finally got around to editing some of the pictures I took last year in New York. Good, bad, ugly? Thoughts?

    • Looking good. Always fun to take pics in NYC. What did you shoot on?

      • It was a great time, we took our Olympus SP-565UZ with us, I don’t know if it’s particularly good or not, but it’s what we had. Just Googled it, apparently it’s a pretty okay camera.

    • I like the perspective on the shot in Chinatown. The angle down each street from the corner provides some sense of space.

      • Yeah, now that I look at these, I wish I had meant to take cool shots, I actually ended up just snapping a photo of whatever the tour bus was moving by at the time. I’m happy the way they turned out though.

  • I greatly enjoyed the presentations by Randy Scherer from High Tech High. I have a much better understanding of what it means to prepare project based learning as opposed to project oriented learning. His presentations made the concept “click” for me and I’m very excited about going back to my classroom and doing project based learning…Read More

    • I am so glad to hear you say that. This was a take away for me too. I think I was a very good teachers but with our current learning I know I would be a much better teacher today. I would like to visit your classroom as you get into project based learning. Invite me out sometime.

    • AWESOME. I’m so glad you liked it, Jason! I believe PBL can be a real game changer for kids. I think it is the way to go. Please keep us posted on how it goes and let us know if we can help in some way!

  • Great Day!!! I have learned a lot from others.

    • Vanessa, It is fantastic that you are a member of this regional group of teacher leaders – but you being here confirms why I feel so old! You were a great student and are now a great teacher. It was so good to see you this morning and I look forward to continuing to work with you.

    • Letcher was at their best! I could not believe that Twila drove back to Letcher and then returned to Hazard because she did not want to miss anything in the group discussions. You guys have a phenomenal team.

      • Huge S/O to the Letcher team! I can’t wait to hear how it goes as you begin to implement. Please let us know how we can help!
