Creating history it’s something we do every day without even realizing it. Some actions are more notable than others, especially in our world today with our “virtual diaries” known as our feeds. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and all the other social media websites can be used to diary our daily activities. It’s hard to believe there was a time when notable events would happen and never even make the local newspaper.

A couple of students from Mullins Elementary made it their mission to record local veteran’s stories and share them with the world. Their STLP team had the opportunity to deposit these recording into the Library of Congress in Washington DC; where these stories will be stored long into the future and be available to the public.

“A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.”
– Marcus Garvey
