Hello, my name is Esther Wright, I am so sorry for a late post for this year, but I am so excited to get this year started.  I have 7 peer mentors working with me right now and I can honestly say they are great?  We have many trips scheduled one for tomorrow will be the "field day" and my peer mentors will be attending. As we look ahead to 2024-25 year, the role of peer mentors in educational and community settings is more crucial than ever.  These individuals provide guidance, support, and encouragement to their peers, fostering a positive environment for personal and academic growth.  To enhance the effectiveness of peer mentoring, it is essential to implement structured support systems, training programs, and resources tailored to their needs. By establishing clear objectives, providing comprehensive training, ensuring ongoing support, and creating a sense of community, we can empower peer mentors to make a meaningful difference in the lives of their mentees.  The investment in these strategies will not only benefit the mentors but will also lead to a stronger more resilient community of learners. I am so glad to be a part of this program and look forward to doing the best to benefit my mentors with my students.  Have a great year everyone!

Good Morning, my name is Angelica Huff! Having the opportunity to work with the students in Mrs.Wrights Life Management class has been an amazing opportunity. By allowing me to interact, communicate, and teach these students I have become more open-minded and accepting of those that differ from me. Although this class is meant for Mrs.Wrights students to learn from me, I believe that they have taught me more than I have them. Each student has taught me how to communicate differently with each student and efficiently, as well as how to create an effective learning experience for all student types. By giving me the chance to create relationships with her students, Mrs.Wrights Life Management class continues to create opportunities for me to grow as both a person and as a student.

Hello, my name is Meggie Bailey! I have gotten to have the best opportunity to peer tutor in Ms.Wright's life management class. By doing so I have gotten to help teach and get to know the kids in this classroom. This has been a great experience for me because I want to be a teacher and this has given me a great outlook on other classrooms. The other day we attended the Special Olympics with the students and played around the field with each other. I was very happy to see that everyone was having such a good time together. By getting to be a peer tutor with these students I have gotten to have good relationships with the students and have learned so much.

Having the kids play games and having a blast, put a smile on my face all day. By becoming a peer mentor I have made great relationships with the students and learned so much.

Hello, my name is Kinsey Thacker! I am so grateful to be in Mrs. Wright's Life Management class. I have been given wonderful opportunities and have learned so much. Everyday we do different and new things, I love working with the students, peer mentors, and the teachers. I had the honor of attending the Special Olympics with my class. I made new friends and made many memories that I know I will remember for ever. Overall I have had some of my best moments with this class because the environment is so positive and caring. I can't wait to look back and remember these days and even use what I've learnt for my future career.

Hello, I am Kylie Bryant.  I would like to thank the Life Management Classroom, Mrs. Wright and her staff for taking the peer mentors to the Mountain Home Place.  I was excited to go and had a wonderful time just watching the students and how they reacted to everything they had saw on October 15, 2024.  We toured the place and saw horses, two turkeys, chickens, goats, a horse and even got to pet them.  We toured old cabins and an old church which was amazing. We also rode the tractor pulling us to different sites.  After we toured Mountain Home Place we stopped and ate at Wendy's for lunch.  This was just an amazing trip.
