Since dropping a full album dedicated to his school and community a few months ago, D3JUAN13, has built a national audience. The teenage rapper from Red Fox, KY went viral overnight when nearly 3,000 people, coast to coast, saw the Holler review of his album in 12 short hours. D3JUAN13 took the East Kentucky Expo Center stage last month for an audience of 800, live-streaming to thousands more, at a Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative Summit. The audience went wild and took to twitter using event hashtag #ARIpromise while he performed his newest track, Gangsta Nerd.
This Saturday, November 12, D3JUAN13 shares the stage with his first major label artist, Mystikal, at the Forum in Hazard, KY. Check out this interview with him about his work, inspiration, artistic process, and value of community.
