Let’s represent World Languages in Eastern Kentucky to the best of our ability across the state!! 🙂
As you probably already know, I am the Region # 5 Kentucky World Language Association regional representative, as well as the KWLA Regional Representative Liaison to the KWLA board. This Saturday, March 21, 2015 we will have our quarterly board meeting in Lexington. As part of my regional report, I am asked to include any good news items that you would like to share from your school (i.e. lessons involving technology with Skype to other countries, etc.), as well as issues that KWLA should be aware of from a World Languages perspective.

Additionally, we are re-planning our PD that we had originally wanted to have this past Saturday. Our registration was very low (only 1 person had originally signed up), so we decided to wait until later to have the PD. Hence, my question to you all as a regional group of World Languages teachers is this: when would be a good time to schedule a proficiency PD (check the KWLA website for more details; FYI—it only costs $25.00 and would include a snack, etc.)?

As for your “good news” items for this Saturday’s KWLA board meeting, please send them to me ASAP as our secretary has to have time to include my report into the minutes, etc.
