For my capstone I was thinking about two different things however, Jennifer pointed out that they are somewhat linked. When I think about my school, I feel the school morale, school spirit, environment (whatever you want to call it), is very low. Sure we all speak and smile, but hidden beneath, are teachers basically coming to work to get paid. Some really don’t want to be there, much less volunteer or participate in anything extra-curricular. I would like to focus on rebuilding this structure through school-wide events that will get teachers excited and interested in working together. The second part, I guess, would be to create a place where teachers can share their ideas for blended learning. Perhaps I could show interest in what each teacher is working on and try to find some virtual field trips, online sites, etc, they could use in their room, that it may help build some morale and get the sharing going within our school. I don’t know. This may be a very hard and broad task to take on.
