Although this wasn’t required during the last workshop (the binding is being conducted by us), I am so happy with the student’s who chose to bind their own books prior to sending them in. Here’s an example of two student’s work from Jackson, KY. This book is written by Ashley Fraley and illustrated by Susan Fraley. The title: “Sally The Big Yellow Cat” . I really am impressed by their creative binding. It reminds me of the ‘zines’ and ‘mini-comic’ hobbies that many illustrator/cartoonist participate in. Like I said though, this type of binding wasn’t necessary, but is so cool. Great job!
