Hello everyone!! I know… everyone has been waiting patiently for the books to become ready, and for the names of the 8 students whose works will be professionally published. I appreciate your patience. It’s been a very hefty workload getting these books lined out! But I’ve done the best I’ve could with the effort. After many hours of piling through the submissions, I’ve narrowed it down to 13 books that I feel best represent the parameters set forth in the workshop. You have to remember, there were many portions to the workshop, and all those matter when selecting a title to be published. The story is foremost important, illustrations and placement of illustrations the second. All in all, I am proud to say that all of our students did a tremendous job during this last “Art Gallery Workshop”.

And now we are gearing up for the second go around! And with that I want to get the word out that all the books will be ready by the start of the second workshop, and the names of the 8 selected works will be posted here on the Art Gallery Workshop Holler on October 6th, 2015. Be sure to check back then for the names of the students whose works will be published!

***The 8 students selected will be published by a regional publishing imprint. Students will receive bulk quantities of their books to distribute. They will also be conducting book signings where their titles will be available for purchase. Students will keep 100 percent of the revenue generated by their book sales. They will have the option of owning their own website. Should any high school aged students be selected, it is highly encouraged that their computer classes there at their high school become involved with their published work! These classes can assist in building the student their own website where their works can be sold online. Please refer to tedhudson.net for an example of just that!

Also! Those students who are selected will have their titles available on amazon, goodreads.com, and possibly even barnes and noble small press website. All of the students whose works are selected will have their titles listed on a website dedicated to the “Art Gallery Workshop” published authors.

Thanks again for the patience. I’m working as hard as I can to bring all this together, and looking forward to the next “Art Gallery Workshop” starting October 19th!

    Welcome Back
