    ARI Student Senate Plan 2015-2016
    I. School Culture Building Activities
    a. Making Everyone Feel a Sense of Belonging
    Collaborate with LCCHS Pep Club sponsor to implement ideas from an article “Planning the Perfect Pep Rally.”
    Promote a class competition that engages students in school spirit activities. Winning class receives a “Cougar Head” on the Class Competition Calendar.

    II. Community Service Activities
    A bulletin board will be maintained in the hallway highlighting community service opportunities
    that are available in our area for students.

    Participate in Power Plus Plan Proclamation supporting funding for the area.

    Participate in a Frankfort Rally supporting funding of Higher Education in Kentucky.

    III. Education
    a. Attendance
    Promote a class competition that encourages attendance at school. Winning class receives a “Cougar Head” on the Class Competition Calendar.

    Promote student attendance and good behavior on Career Day, all students who are present on Career Day and display positive behavior (no disciplinary infractions during Career Day Sessions) will have their names entered into a drawing for LCCHS tshirts.
    b. Academics
    Student Senators will work jointly with the Family Resource Center to host a Career Day at LCCHS in November. Career Day will last for 3 class periods 50 minutes in length. Students will choose and attend 3 career day sessions. Student Senate members will assist in surveying students for their preferences of speakers, contacting presenters, and providing information about sessions on Career Day. Student Senators will also assist presenters on Career Day and assist a hospitality room for presenters on Career Day.

    Students Senators will work jointly with the school guidance counselors to host a College Fair Day in spring of 2016.

    Participate in Power Plus Plan Proclamation supporting funding for the area.

    c. Behavior
    Promote a class competition that recognizes the class with the fewest disciplinary referrals. Winning class receives a “Cougar Head” on the Class Competition Calendar.
