Digital Writing in the 21st Century (Digital Portfolios)
Traditional writing portfolios are a thing of the past. The writing practices taught through the “traditional” method are not meeting the needs of the 21st Century learner. By integrating the use of Google Chrome books, Google Apps for Education, and Google Classrooms, I plan to bring a 21st Century approach to writing portfolios. Students will use technology to create more modern writing pieces (e.g. emails, blog posts, peer review articles, etc.). Students will also communicate their writing, using various media (e.g. PowerPoint presentations, Skype sessions, PSA, etc.) to their peers.
