Jeff, S.T.A.R.S (Community Problem Solving and Entrepreneurial Project) students should not have any absences. Other than November 24 for Entrepreneurial Showcase(1 day away from school) in Hazard at the KVEC office and April 17 for CmPs studentsm (1 day away from school). Most often it won’t be the same students participating in both events.
Student Senate members will have 4 face to face meetings throughout the year. Other meetings will be virtually. The Student Senate meeting is certainly a project based learning activity –therefore, legally, the student could be counted as in attendance. Paul Green from Owsley informed me today how Owsley County handles these types of activities.
