I Like to Move It, Move It! Brain-based Classroom Redesign

Research Question: Does flexible seating and student choice help to engage the learner, help students become more responsible for their choices, and become better problem solvers?

With this grant I plan to purchase new, updated, comfortable seating for my classrooms. I want to redesign my classroom so the students have a choice of where to sit that will make them comfortable. I want the classroom to be inviting and exciting in order to ignite student achievement and engagement. I believe with better seating and student choice, my students will be able to stay focused for a longer period of time which will result in improved learning.
