Project Title: The “IncrEDIBLES” Cooking Club

LBJ Elementary School’s MSD students are creating a cooking club. The students will perform tasks such as meal planning, budgeting for groceries, food preparation, cooking, and clean up. The hopes of this club is to help build self-confidence in students who have a moderate to severe disability. The research question that will guide this study will be- Can self-confidence be boosted with participation in a kids cooking club? The outcome of this club will be determined by a pre and post participation Inventory called- How Self-Confident Are You? This inventory will help gauge the level of self-confidence that students have at both the beginning and end phase of the cooking club experience.
