I have a couple questions about the ACT. Will both sophomores and juniors be taking the test for accountability this year? Our curriculum coordinator showed us something that indicated that, and when looking at the ACT page on KDE, it says that they’re looking for funding for the administration of the test to sophomores. I don’t remember that being addressed at our Sept. meeting.

    • So sorry for delay in response. Due to funding, the sophomore ACT will not be given this year. Only Juniors will take the ACT, which will count for accountability with Transition Readiness, Math and Reading. The 10th grade field test in Math and Reading will be given this year going operational next school year, which will be used for accountability in Math and Reading instead of ACT. ACT will still be used for Transition Readiness next school year.
