Hello! Our library makerspace is part of a larger initiative including a total of 4 ARI grants in our school. We are making progress toward building, storing and utilizing our space. There are many questions we still have, but are definitely making progress toward the greater goal. We are meeting once a week after school with our Junior Engineers – a group of 4th – 6th graders interested in learning more about making, creating, engineering, robotics, etc. This group is training to be leaders in our school in the Growth Mindset initiative. We are equipping this group to assist the teachers and students when these practices make it into the classroom. My role in this group is helper, as I am the lead learner! Ha! Neil Arnett and Charles Holbrook are leading the way with this group. I have a lot to learn!!
