ARI Tech Tuesday 10-14-14

In this Tech Tuesday update the Kentucky School Board Association joins several other organizations in reporting on the progress of the ARI technology initiative.  The October edition of KSBA’s Kentucky School Advocate highlighted our work as what may be “the next step in the evolution of education.”  Read more under ARI Tech in the News.  We have an “action required” item under the Promising Practice section related to registration for the Promising Practice Summit on October 24th.  Joseph shares docking stations for the MondoPad Q-Tablet should be arriving in your districts and gives a few “look for” features.  Check out the posting from the Holler by Jeff Phillips of Harlan County under Promising Practice for their progress in utilizing MondoPads for professional learning and other routine meetings.  Kelli Thompson posted a request recently for those interested in becoming a part of a collaborative directory and don’t miss Carmen’s spotlight on “The Cardboard Challenge.”  If you are tired of your old look, then read about, “Viewing and Updating your Profile” in the Holler from Bruce Parsons.  If you are not sure what DDL is, then follow the new link under Links/Resources Worth a Look.

  1. I feel confident the KSBA statement that the ARI initiative is, “the next step in the evolution of education,” is accurate. I am excited to see what the next day, the next month, and the next year/s brings. We are all on a journey and our students will be the beneficiaries.
