Building Bridges to College and Career!

You’re invited to participate in Building Bridges to College and Career: Family Engagement for Successful Student Transition, a special opportunity to network and learn about ways to improve postsecondary transitions for students. This free interactive event, being held on November 7th, is designed to build awareness of the families’ role in successful student transition to postsecondary education and training. There will be engaging activities and opportunities to network with other K-12 educators and parent engagement experts.  

This event is hosted by REL Appalachia and a will be held at Eastern Kentucky University, Manchester Campus. The event is provided at no cost to the participants. So, bring a team or come as a sole representative. Participants will walk away with best practices for engaging families, connections to regional and local resources, and much more

Join us to learn more about the Regional Educational Laboratory Appalachia (REL-AP) Kentucky Rural College and Career Readiness Partnership

We will discuss the importance of family engagement in postsecondary pursuits, and share strategies for schools and districts to strengthen family engagement.

Who’s Invited?

• School and district staff who work with parents and families, or with community resources that help connect families to schools.
• There is no cost to attend.

• Learn about the relationship between family engagement and postsecondary outcomes and explore family engagement strategies that can be used in rural settings
• Hear from local experts who have successfully engaged families
• Engage in interactive activities designed to generate ideas you can take back to your school and district
