IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!! STUDENTS SELECTED FOR PUBLISHING!!!
HELLO EVERYONE! Hope you have enjoyed your summer! Did it go by too fast? Silly question, sorry.
Well I hope that I can brighten things up some by this amazing announcement!!!!! I met with Kelli Thompson today and we discussed some EXCITING stuff. There will be between 4 and 5 student’s work selected for publishing! Yes! That means 4 or 5 of the student entered work will be selected and they will become published authors, complete with hardbound copies of their book ready to be sold! Their books listed in the Library of Congress, available on all online stores and distributors, and complete with their own website from which all of their work (present and future) will be made available! Want to see what we have in mind? Visit http://www.tedhudson.net and see! Ted’s work will give you a great idea as to what to expect.
So I know what everyone is wondering… who are the students that have been selected? Well, that news is coming soon I promise. Their names will be posted here on the “Art Gallery Workshop” page.
As for this coming school year, the “Art Gallery Workshop” will return! Where more students will have the opportunity to have their work published! This year’s theme for the “Art Gallery Workshop” will be ‘Leaders and Legends’! Students will be asked to select a person that has made a difference in their region (can be anything from political examples, to science, to sports). The other option is “Legends”. Our region is filled with legends of old, from the John Swift Silver Mine, to the “Devil Dogs’ showcased on such shows as “Mountain Monsters” and “Monster Hunters”. Anything goes in terms of their selections, similar to last year: chapter books, comic books, or illustrated books.
I am so excited that there will be 4 to 5 students (who participated last school year) to have their works PUBLISHED! And! Hopefully even more to come with this new workshop coming up!
Let me be sure to make this clear though, ALL students who submitted books will have their books bound and made available to showcase at events coming up later this fall… but the 4 to 5 students whose works have been selected will become REAL published authors!
Hope that you are as excited about this news as I am. I will be posting more as to who the students are, and the publisher information, very soon!
Keep in touch with me here on the “Art Gallery Workshop”! Exciting news and information coming soon 🙂
