The students who are members of the TSC School Bank have collectively saved almost $1,000.00! They learned out checking and savings accounts and practiced writing checks and balancing a ledger. One of the student comments was, “Thank you for teaching us something we can actually use!”

The Paintsville Tiger Savings Club (TSC) Bank is going strong! 30 plus students have opened an account and we have collectively saved over $500.00. We still have 2 months to go and it’s not too late to sign up.

My grant for 2018-19 is called “A Penny Saved” and is a school-based bank savings program for middle and high school students.

The Paintsville Middle School Entrepreneur project was a great success. Four of our entrepreneurs/teams won at regionals. Several businesses are still taking orders and producing goods to sell. The ARI Fire Summit was a great way for these students to showcase their hard-work and talent. The students are already brainstorming ideas for next year!
