Like Mr. Arnett’s post, our entire school has been focused this year on standards-based grading and assessment. One of the biggest changes in our building this year has been the implementation of “learning checks,” or formative assessments on a weekly basis that check for mastery of specific standards. We use Google Forms via Google Classroom to administer the checks, so grading is quick and results are put into Excel documents for easy reporting to administration.
