My high school Global Issues 1st period class are working on a project they’e entitled PROJECT: H.E.A.L. (Healthy Eating, Active Lifestyle) which involves growing their own winter garden. They They are using discarded wooden pallets for raised garden beds. We were able to purchase soil, seeds, and tools with a donation from our local Soil Conservation District. The students will be visiting their first elementary school on Thursday to present their entire project. Our plan is to have a garden at each elementary school in the district.
