After noticing a loss of engaging and hands-on experiences for students while transitioning in and out of the classroom due to lack of embedded technology and limited in class and take home materials, I applied for an ARI grant. The Engineering Studio at Porter Elementary greatly benefited from our additional building materials that were purchased. Students were also given more opportunities for embedded technology. Results were observed through the level of engagement during in class challenges completed by students and pre and post surveys. Evidence proves that the action plan was indeed successful. Adding more resources and embedding technology preserved student engagement and excitement in and out of class.
